Europan version differences
Di 24 Jun 2014, 12:35
Hi,
sorry for writing in English, but i think it is better then posting using google translator. I can't speak German and there is hardly any genesis coupe owners forum in europe.
So i lurked on your forum - i got there because i was quite confused with brake pads i ordered and did not fit.
So far i found out from this forum, that only fitting aftermarket pads:
Bendix D1576
Nipparts N3600549
Is that correct?
Also us standard brakes disc are 320mm, us brembos 340mm and EU brake discs are 345mm?
Also are there any other differences in EU vs US genni? I noticed that there is EU F and EU R on wheels - so these are probably different too?

Hi evlo,
where are you from? We have an area here where new members should introduce them self:
http://www.genesis-coupe.com/f3-neuvorstellungen
It's right, the Euro version has brakes from Mando instead of Brembo with a different diameter.
Front OE is # 51712-2M900
Front Nipparts # is N3300537
Rear OE # is 58411-3N020
Rear Nipparts # is N3310519
Ah sorry, that numbers are for the disks and you are looking for pads.
At the moment I don't have numbers for them.
I am using aftermarket pads from EBC. They fit in the rear very well, but in the front you have to sand the metal some milimeters, but in my opinion thats not safety-relevant:
The numbers for those pads (yellowstuff, but they have redstuff if you like them more) are DP41849R and DP41806R, you can get them for a small amount on amazon.com.

There are many differences between the US and EU version from the Genesis.
Starts with brakes, lights, radio, interior and ending up in slightly different engineparts.

About the front brake discs - are the euro-version ones 345mm?
I would really like to get 17" wheels on my car as i consider moving to area where there is a lot of potholes etc. on access road.
Does anyone here managed to fit r17s over the brake calipers?

17" is not allowed in Germany on the Gen. Beside the bad look it is not possible to run such a setup here. Also Hyundai doesn't give permission to run this. You have to run at least 18".

On the small American calipers (2.0 L or 3.8 pre/fl GT) you can fit some 17".
But there is only a small amount of wheels fittin that small space which left...

(for example)

Edit:
This only works for the American Version...
With the european there is no chance for it, beside loosing you brake

I was thinking Yokohama AVS Model 6 as someone is selling it here, and it seems they have cutout for brakes
But now when i looked again at the image air valve is also there in the wheel center ... weird
